Couples • 2–3 Day Therapeutic Immersion

Couples Intensive Therapy

For relationships that deserve depth, not interruption.

Some relationships don't need more sessions. They need a different therapeutic process.

When meaningful work is repeatedly interrupted by the end of a session, insight often remains insight. Couples leave with greater understanding, yet find themselves repeating the same relational patterns once they return to everyday life.

Couples Intensive Therapy creates the continuity that allows insight to become practice, and practice to become a different way of relating. Across two or three uninterrupted days, we identify the relational patterns shaping your relationship, work with them as they emerge, and practise new ways of being with one another while the therapeutic process is still unfolding.

This is not therapy compressed into two or three days. It is a different therapeutic process altogether.

Why an intensive

Why Couples Choose an Intensive

Your Relationship Becomes the Priority

For two or three days, your relationship becomes the priority. Without the interruptions of everyday life, there's space to understand what has been difficult to see while living inside it.

Stay With the Work Until It Changes

Meaningful conversations are rarely interrupted because the session ends. We stay with the process long enough to move beyond the first layer, allowing understanding to deepen and new possibilities to emerge.

From Insight to Real-Life Change

Understanding your relationship is important. Practising a different way of relating while therapeutic support is still present is what helps those insights become part of everyday life.

Leave With Direction, Not Just Emotion

The goal isn't simply to have a powerful experience. It's to leave with greater clarity, practical direction, and a shared understanding of what your relationship needs next.

The intensive

How the Intensive Process Unfolds

Designed around your relationship.

01

Introductory Call (20 Minutes)

A brief conversation to understand what brings you here, answer your questions, and explore whether a Couples Intensive is the most appropriate therapeutic pathway for your relationship.

If we mutually decide to move forward, your intensive is confirmed and the preparation process begins.

02

Intensive Consultation (90 Minutes)

Your Couples Intensive begins with a dedicated consultation that allows us to understand your relationship in depth and design the therapeutic immersion around your unique needs.

Together, we'll:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of your relationship and what has brought you here.
  • Clarify the therapeutic priorities that will guide the intensive.
  • Understand the relational patterns, strengths, and challenges shaping your relationship.
  • Determine whether a two- or three-day immersion will best serve your therapeutic goals.
  • Design the intensive around your relationship rather than a predetermined structure.
03

Preparation

The therapeutic work begins before the immersion itself.

Preparation may include:

  • Relational reflection exercises.
  • Relationship history and relevant background information.
  • Structured questionnaires and assessments.
  • Reviewing your current relational landscape.
  • Preparing both partners for the therapeutic work ahead.
04

The Intensive (2–3 Days)

Available In-Person (India) | Virtual (Worldwide)

Each day includes approximately six hours of dedicated therapeutic work, with appropriate therapeutic and lunch breaks.

During the intensive, we may:

  • Understand the relational system that has developed between you.
  • Work with relational patterns as they emerge in real time.
  • Explore attachment, relational trauma, shame, protective adaptations, nervous system responses, power dynamics, and relational responsibility.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the dynamics shaping your relationship.
  • Translate insight into lived relational practice.
  • Stay with important conversations long enough for meaningful and lasting change.
05

Integration (30-Minute Call)

The intensive concludes with an Integration Call to support the transition from the therapeutic immersion into everyday life.

Together, we'll:

  • Consolidate the work completed during the intensive.
  • Identify priorities for continued relational growth.
  • Develop practical recommendations for moving forward.
  • Clarify the next therapeutic steps, where appropriate.
06

Ongoing Therapeutic Support (If Required)

Where clinically appropriate, one 75-minute follow-up session may be recommended.

If additional therapeutic support is beneficial, further follow-up sessions can be scheduled based on your relationship's evolving needs.

Additional follow-up sessions are offered separately at the standard consultation fee.

The difference

What Makes This Intensive Different

A Couples Intensive is not simply defined by the number of hours you spend in therapy. It is defined by how those hours are used.

My work is not built around quick solutions, communication techniques, or emotional insight alone. It is designed to help couples understand the relational system they have created together, work with patterns while they are unfolding, and translate awareness into meaningful behavioural change.

Rather than rushing towards answers, we stay with the process long enough for something fundamentally different to become possible.

Because lasting change doesn't happen when you simply understand your relationship.
It happens when you begin relating differently.

Beyond Advice

The goal isn't to tell you what to do, but to help you become capable of doing what your relationship needs.

Beyond Symptoms

We don't only address the argument. We work with the relational system that keeps recreating it.

Beyond Blame

The focus isn't on who is right or wrong. It's on understanding what the relationship needs to become healthier.

Beyond the Therapy Room

The work is designed so that change continues long after the intensive has ended.

The next step

Begin the work

Every meaningful therapeutic process begins with understanding.

Book a brief introductory call to ask your questions, and explore whether a Couples Intensive is the right next step for you.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a Couples Intensive different from ongoing weekly therapy?

Weekly therapy and a Couples Intensive are two different therapeutic pathways. While weekly therapy creates space for growth over time, an Intensive offers an immersive therapeutic experience, allowing us to remain deeply engaged with the relational process over two or three uninterrupted days.

How do we know whether a Couples Intensive is the right therapeutic pathway for our relationship?

Every relationship is unique. That's why every Intensive begins with an Introductory Call and a Comprehensive Consultation to understand your relationship, your goals, and whether this is the most appropriate therapeutic pathway for the work ahead.

Can meaningful and lasting change really happen in just two or three days?

Yes. That's precisely what a Couples Intensive is designed to make possible. While no meaningful relationship is transformed overnight, an Intensive creates the conditions for deep relational shifts to begin and establishes strong roots for the work that continues long after the Intensive has ended.

What if we're feeling uncertain about the future of our relationship?

Many couples begin an Intensive during a period of uncertainty. The purpose of this work is not to persuade you to stay together or separate, but to help you understand your relationship with greater honesty, clarity, and intention before making important decisions.

What happens after the Couples Intensive ends?

Every Couples Intensive concludes with an Integration Call to consolidate the work, reflect on what has emerged, and thoughtfully discuss the next steps for your relationship. While many couples complete the Intensive with a clear direction forward, some may benefit from ongoing therapeutic support, depending on the unique needs of their relationship.

How do you decide whether we need a two-day or a three-day Intensive?

Our intention is to begin the deeper therapeutic work from the very first day. Most couples benefit from a three-day Intensive because it provides the time and continuity needed for meaningful relational change. However, every relationship is different. If two days are sufficient to accomplish the therapeutic goals we've established together, I won't recommend a third day simply because it was planned.
